Maddie Steitz, who previously worked as Kris Jenner’s personal assistant, recently added an interesting video to TikTok explaining her experience working for the superstar.
Of course, Maddie had to watch her words carefully as she signed an NDA before taking the job, but she still had quite a lot to say.

Almost everyone on the planet has at least heard of the Kardashians, and the majority have watched their reality show, followed them on Instagram, and owned several of their products.
They could be considered the most famous family in the world, and mom, Kris Jenner, is not only the matriarch but the manager of the whole gang.

Kris, mother to Khloe, Kourtney, Kim, Rob, Kylie, and Kendall, is known for her unwavering dedication to her children’s success.
And while she portrays herself as a kind and supporting mother in the show, most people understand that she is a business shark behind the scenes. Realistically, one would have to be to have six superstar children, each with their own successful brands and businesses.
What Did Kris’ Personal Assistant Have to Say About Her?
Now, everyone wants to know what it is actually like to work for the one and only Kris Jenner. So when Maddie, her former personal assistant, posted a video to TikTok, people around the world turned in.
Maddie captioned the clip, “There’s lots of fun perks, but being an assistant isn’t as glamorous as you’d think.” And the world was ready for a Kris Jenner roast.
Maddie Didn’t Have Anything Bad to Say About Kris or Her Family
However, that’s not exactly what they got. Instead of talking directly about what Kris was like, Maddie dove into the common misconceptions about being a personal assistant and what the job is actually like.
She said being a personal assistant to celebrities “looks a lot more glamorous than it is” and that “it’s not just this perfect dream life.”
There Is One Thing Maddie Doesn’t Miss About the Job
Although Maddie didn’t dig into the details of the pros and cons of working for someone like Kris Jenner, she did say there was one thing she definitely didn’t miss about the job.
Maddie said, “One thing I do not miss about being Kris Jenner’s personal assistant is how much time I spent thinking about the Kardashians.”
Their Life Becomes Your Life
Essentially, Maddie explained that while personal assistants don’t get to live the life of a celebrity, their life still becomes your life in a strange and overwhelming way.
She said, “I would literally have nightmares about all the Kardashians because I just couldn’t stop thinking about them all the time. But that’s just part of being a personal assistant. It’s totally part of the job, no matter who you work for. Their whole life is your life.”
Other Personal Assistants Agreed with Maddie’s Sentiment
And it seems that Maddie isn’t the only person who feels this way; there were comments on her TikTok post from other personal assistants who agreed wholeheartedly.
One person said, “I was recently in a role somewhat similar (not a celebrity) but I hated that they were the main character in my life rather than me being the main one.”
Maddie Legally Couldn’t Give Any Details About the Famous Family
While some viewers were certainly disappointed in the lack of juicy gossip about Kris and her family, it would have been illegal to do so, as Maddie signed an everlasting NDA before taking the job.
Maddie said, “I can’t really imagine a personal assistant role without an NDA needed. You have to have access to so much info, that no matter if it’s a celebrity or not, privacy is a super important part of the job.”
Leaving the Personal Assistant Life Behind
Maddie captioned another TikTok, “Personal assistant life is its own form of trauma,” and that she decided to leave that world behind to, once again, be the main character in her own life.
Which is exactly what the young entrepreneur is now doing with her new and exciting business venture.
Striking Out on Her Own
Although she never mentioned anything of the sort, working for celebrity entrepreneurial women, such as Kris and her daughters, may have given Maddie the inspiration to strike out on her own and create her own brand.
Either way, for now, this former personal assistant is done dreaming about other people and is, instead, dreaming only of herself.
