A security breach has been reported at the esteemed London Clinic, a hospital that caters to the royal family.
An investigation was later launched after it revealed an employee tried to access Princess Catherine’s private medical records.

Back in January, the Princess of Wales, Catherine, underwent major abdominal surgery at the private London Clinic hospital.
Catherine remained out of the public eye in the months following her surgery, leading to much speculation online about the princess’ well-being.
Clinic Employee Attempts to Read Princess Catherine’s Medical Files
In March, a report surfaced claiming the hospital where Catherine had been treated experienced a security breach.
According to the reports of Hello! Magazine, at least one member of the private hospital staff tried to access Princess Catherine’s private medical files.
Breach Could Damage the London Clinic’s Reputation
According to an insider at the London Clinic who spoke with The Mirror, the recent security breach has damaged the hospital’s reputation.
“This is a major security breach and incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its unblemished reputation for treating members of the royal family,” said the insider (via Hello! Magazine).
London Clinic Carries Out Full Investigation
After word of the security breach spread, hospital officials immediately contacted Kensington Palace and assured the royals that a full investigation would be conducted.
“Senior hospital bosses contacted Kensington Palace immediately after the incident was brought to their attention and assured the palace there would be a full investigation,” said the insider.
Private London Hospital Severely Let Down by Employee
The hospital insider said that the medical staff and officials were shocked to hear that a trusted staff member was behind the security breach.
“The whole medical staff have been left utterly shocked and distraught over the allegations and were very hurt that a trusted colleague could have allegedly been responsible for such a breach of trust and ethics,” said the insider.
London Clinic’s Chief Executive Makes a Statement
Shortly after word of the security breach, Al Russell, the London Clinic’s chief executive, released a statement to the press.
“Everyone at the London Clinic is acutely aware of our individual, professional, ethical, and legal duties regarding patient confidentiality. We take enormous pride in the outstanding care and discretion we aim to deliver for all our patients who put their trust in us every day,” he said.
Hospital Promises to Carry Out Disciplinary Actions
“We have systems in place to monitor management of patient information and, in the case of any breach, all appropriate investigatory, regulatory, and disciplinary steps will be taken,” said Russell.
“There is no place at our hospital for those who intentionally breach the trust of any of our patients or colleagues.”
Kensington Palace Releases Statement
A spokesperson released a statement on behalf of the royal family.
“This is a matter for the London Clinic,” said the Kensington Palace spokesperson (via Hello! Magazine).

The London Clinic has served as the main hospital for the royal family since it opened over nine decades ago.
This past year alone, Princess Catherine spent 13 days in the private hospital, and King Charles was treated for an enlarged prostate during the same period.

While the London Clinic employee may have been snooping for info on Princess Catherine’s current state of affairs, the future queen has finally released a statement.
According to CNN, Princess Catherine took to social media to announce she’s been diagnosed with cancer.
