Two well known rappers have been arrested on the same day.
One for violence against his bodyguard and the other for drug possession and insurance violation.
Two Locations
One was arrested at a casino in Missouri.
The other was arrested in Paris and it’s the second time this year he’s been arrested. The first time was for disorderly intoxication in Florida.
Legal Troubles
Both men have had previous legal troubles.
One has previously been accused of rape, the other has been arrested for disorderly conduct on more than one occasion.
Fight With Security Guard
This time it was a fight with a security guard in a hotel room in Paris that got Travis Scott into trouble.
This was after his own security team had tried to break up the fight between them. The French police are still investigating this incident.
Casino Win
Meanwhile, Nelly was arrested by an “overzealous officer”.
He was arrested because of an outstanding warrant for an alleged insurance violation, but the arresting officer found four ecsatsy pills on him. Before the incident, he had won several jackpost in the casino and still managed to collect his $50,000 win.
Rapper’s Responses
Travis Scott has not yet commented on his arrest.
Nelly’s attorney has spoken to the media and says: “I am 100% confident this case will go nowhere and we will be asking for an inquiry into this officer’s conduct.”
Both Award Winners
Both men are award winning rap artists.
Nelly has won three Grammy awards and nine Billboard Music Awards. Scott has won four BET awards and has been nominated for numerous others.
Olympics and Leisure Time
Travis Scottis in Paris for the Olympics and had watched the men’s basketball semi-final.
Nelly was having some down time in a casino that he visits regularly. It is in the area where he grew up.
Not Charged
Travis Scott was not charged with anything follwoing the Paris incident and is expected to be released soon.
Nelly was also released without charge, despite the four ecstasy pills having been found on him.
Children
Both men have children.
Travis Scott has two children with his former girlfriend Kylie Jenner while Nelly has two children from previous relationships and his current fiancee is pregnant.
